ENTRANTS of all shapes and sizes lined up on the starting line for the Carterton 5k and 10k.
Among the runners at Carterton Leisure Centre for Sunday’s races were six entrants from RAF Brize Norton.
They completed the 10k in one hour and 14 minutes but had some company.
The team – Kieran Monkman, Ollie Smith, Dave Booth, Al Robinson, Ceri Marshman and Matthew Allen – did the whole run carrying a stretcher, complete with a dummy weighing more than 50kg.
Parachute jump instructor Sgt Allen, 36, said it raised £300 to £400 for youth charities.
He said: “It was really good.
“We were looking for some way to raise money with the charities so we got in touch with the leisure centre and they let us enter for free.”
First 10k runner home was Dan Owen.
