MORE than six decades may separate Hazel and Liv, but the two have at least one thing in common.
Hazel Pascoe was one of the first students at Wood Green School in Witney when it opened in 1953, while Liv Holt is currently a year nine pupil there.
Hazel joined another 40 original pupils at the secondary school on Friday to reminisce with current students to kick off the 60th anniversary celebrations.
Mrs Pascoe, 74, joined the newly-formed school when she was 14.
Mrs Pascoe, who lives in Griffiths Close, Northmoor, said: “It was a really lovely day.
“It was nice to spend time with the students and talk to them about our time there.”
Wood Green support manager Philip Wilde said there would be a number of other events taking place over the school year.
He said: “As part of year nine history, part of the curriculum is about local history, so it was a good chance for them to talk to the school’s first students.”
