THE West Oxfordshire Business Awards (WOBA) are being relaunched for 2015 with a new retail category.

Sponsored by Blenheim Palace, the new category is open to any independent retail business in the district.

Jo Sensecall, of WOBA, said: “Whether you are located in one of the district’s town centres or a rural location, we would love to hear from you.”

WOBA has also completely redesigned its logo and branding, with the new look developed by Chipping Norton design consultancy mark-making*.

There are 10 other award categories, including social media, charity, hospitality, micro business and employer of the year. The deadline for entries is November 30.

Art and design students at Abingdon & Witney College’s Holloway Road campus in Witney will compete to design the Business of the Year Award, which will be crafted in wood by Synolos in Witney.

The West Oxfordshire Business Awards were launched in 2011 to promote business and entrepreneurship in the district.

The 2014 business of the year award went to cryogenic engineering company ICEoxford, based in Station Lane, Witney.
