PUPILS at Holy Trinity Primary School in Chipping Norton told David Cameron what they want from proposals for new housing next to their school.
They presented the Prime Minister and Witney MP with letters saying they want land set aside for new playing fields if a proposal for 500 homes at Tank Farm, to the east of the town, goes ahead.
The site is at the rear of the Catholic school, in London Road.
It has been included as a potential development site in West Oxfordshire’s draft Local Plan but no planning application has yet been lodged.
Mr Cameron visited the school on Friday, October 10, to officially open a new outdoor play area for the foundation unit and also toured classrooms and answered questions from pupils.
Headteacher Lorna Buchanan said: “The children were very pleased that Mr Cameron answered the questions raised in their persuasive letters and thoroughly enjoyed meeting him.”
