A man accused of brandishing a kitchen knife inside a house in Witney has been found not guilty of affray.

Michael Thompson, of Bartlett Close, Witney, went on trial on Wednesday at Oxford Crown Court after denying committing the offence on January 12 this year.

It was alleged he picked up a 30cm kitchen knife after being told to leave the home of Emily Holgate and Mitchell Hodges.

But yesterday the 27-year-old was unanimously cleared of one count of affray by a jury.
