CHILTERN Railways trains between Oxfordshire and London could experience delays today due to a points failure at Wembley.
The rail operator said most services would be unaffected but that it would work throughout the day to make repairs before the evening rush hour later today.
It said: "The fault is a points failure which prevents trains being able to enter and leave the depot at Wembley via the route at the London end.
"However the signalling is able to work normally when the points are set for travel along the main lines. Consequently, most trains will be able to operate without any delay.
"The alternative route into and out of the depot is more restrictive, and as a result not all the trains were able to leave the depot this morning.
"This meant that two trains were cancelled this morning as the carriages were stuck in the depot.
"In addition, there may be some minor delays to northbound trains through Wembley Stadium station while trains reverse into the depot at the other end."
