SUN worshippers rejoice: the Met Office's weather warning for Oxfordshire has just swelled to the next level.
The county is now classified with level two concern, meaning that there is a 60 per cent chance of hitting heatwave conditions.
Emma Sharples, a spokeswoman for the forecaster, said the warning is in place in Oxfordshire until Friday at 9am.
She said she did not expect the county to reach level three, to match the East, which would mean there would be a 90 per cent chance of there being a heatwave.
In Oxfordshire, a heatwave is reached if temperatures teeter over the 31 degree Celsius mark for at least two consecutive days and the intervening night.
Oxford is forecasted highs of 28 degrees Celsius today, which is expected to dip as the week goes on.
