THE singer Grace Jones, electronic producer Bonobo and the chef Yotam Ottolenghi are among the stars of music and food announced today for this summer's Wilderness Festival.

Joining them on the line up for the four-day feats of music, food, theatre, dance and cabaret, at Cornbury park, Charlbury, are indie-rock band Two Door Cinema Club, reggae act Toots & the Maytals, folk band First Aid Kit, Brit award-nominee Michael Kiwanuka, Ray Blk, Aurora, Jackmaster, dubstep pioneer Artwork, and dance act Nightmares On Wax.

This will be the seventh instalment of the acclaimed festival, which takes place from August 3-6.

Israeli-born Mr Ottolenghi continues the event's reputation for high quality food, catering banquets of his signature Middle Eastern-influenced fare for festival-goers, alongside Nuno Mendes of London's Chiltern Firehouse, and Thomasina Miers.

Also making a return will be the festival's Chef’s Table dinners, which give foodies the chance to experience specially curated menus from world-class chefs in an intimate setting. This year's culinary talent includes Tommy Banks, the youngest ever winner of a Michelin Star in the UK, Hamish Brown of London institution Roka, Robin Gill of The Dairy, and Merlin Labron-Johnson of Portland and Clipstone.

Alongside the chefs, a selection of London restaurants will be serving food in The Dining Room, with Berber & Q, Breddos, Kricket, Frenchie and Bao all making forays into festival dining for the first time.

Mr Ottolenghi is a Wilderness fan and advocate of fine dining at festivals. He said: “Food is the ultimate way of breaking down barriers and getting people talking, so the benefits of eating en-masse are clear.

"I am thrilled to be joining Wilderness again for what will be an incredible seventh year”.

Mr Mendes said: “Wilderness is my favourite festival and an event I look forward to every year. It’s a perfect mix of foodie, arts and music, with a beautifully scenic backdrop, and all within a family setting. I’m excited to be back and look forward to hosting a banquet this year.”

Other attractions announced include Oscar and BAFTA-nominated pianist Hauschka, blues legend Lucky Peterson and The Wilderness Orchestra, which will perform a tribute to Nina Simone.

Also gracing the bill are Sadler’s Wells, Company Wayne McGregor and international hip-hop theatre festival Breakin’ Convention.

The event will also see the launch of a new stage: The Love Hotel, billed as "a secret underworld where conformity is rejected and the extraordinary is embraced."

There will also be a new party camp, The Hustle.

Continuing Wilderness's tradition of intelligent debate, there will be talks and discussions by the Royal Society of Arts and Tate Britain, talking about their upcoming exhibition Queer British Art. On the other side of the coin, there will be comedy, outrageous and risqué cabaret with Missy Fatale, the inaugural Shotgun Wedding Show and Shesus & The Sistas, featuring Oxford's Lauren Meehan  aka 'Sister Mary Berry'.

Tickets cost from £168.50 + booking fee (Young people's tickets are £80 and children's £5) from ticketmaster.co.uk/wilderness
