Extreme Wheels day 'bigger and better' this year

PLANS are under way for the fourth Extreme Wheels day in Carterton.

The event, missed out last year, brings skateboarders and bike riders together to demonstrate their skills, along with live music and fun sideshows.

No date has yet been set, but it will be in the summer and at The Dell, off Upavon Way.

More than 30 people who want to be involved in planning the event turned up for the first meeting at the town hall.

Another is scheduled at the same venue on the evening of Wednesday, February 27. Adrian Coomber, principal organiser, said they had secured twice as much money this year, about £2,000, to make it a bigger and better day.
