Stage is set for Wheels day

A large stage is being put up for live bands as part of this year's Extreme Wheels Day, in Carterton.

The event, on Saturday, August 9, will bring skateboarders and BMX riders together to demonstrate their skills at the Dell Skate Park, off Upavon Way.

Organiser Adrian Coomber said it would help to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the park.

"It attracts hundreds of people and the success is almost entirely down to young people in Carterton," he added.

The event runs from 10am to 10pm, with bands playing from 5.30pm onwards. Entry is free.
