People convicted of offences at Magistrates' Courts around the county recently OXFORD Daniel Hughes, 22, of Exe Close, Didcot, admitted driving without insurance in Cow Lane, Didcot, on May 15. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Detained in the court house until the end of the day and banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending.

Anthony Stone, 28, of Leafield Road, Oxford, admitted using violence to secure entry into a property in Bath Street, Oxford, on March 18. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.

Marlon Rowe, 18, of Mey Close, Calcot, Reading, admitted attempting to steal a pedal cycle in Oxford on December 1. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £150 costs.

Julian Bones, 48, of Bridge Street, Witney, admitted assault by beating in Witney on July 26. Fined £175, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

Jake Smith, 22, of St Mary’s Green, Abingdon, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Abingdon on March 26 and failing to surrender to court bail on May 16. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

Midaugas Juska, 23, of Havelock Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting £124.01 of alcohol from Tesco in Oxford on January 18. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £385 costs.

Sandra Semenca, 20, of Havelock Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting £124.01 of alcohol from Tesco in Oxford on January 18. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £385 costs.

Joanna Brealey, 33, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted attempting to steal a Renault Master van valued at £6,500 in Oxford on March 26. Given a six-month alcohol-treatment programme with supervision. Also told to pay £85 costs.

Jack Murphy, 22, of Rectory Road, Oxford, admitted burgling an office in Rectory Road of a safe on January 8. Given a six-month drug-rehabilitation programme with supervision and told to pay £85 costs.

Wagner Neves, 29, of Gillians Way, Oxford, admitted possessing a false Italian driving licence and driving while disqualified and without insurance on Milton Park Road, Milton, on January 30. Given 200 hours’ unpaid work, fined £210, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.

Barry Stimpson, 30, of Oxford Road, Littlemore, admitted taking a vehicle without consent and driving without insurance in Lambton Close, Oxford, on February 21. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge an £85 costs. Given six penalty points.

Colum Flaherty, 27, of Upper Barr, Oxford, convicted of driving without a licence and without insurance in Garsington Road, Oxford, on September 10. Fined £400, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs.

Sean Flaherty, 30, of Hill Top Road, Oxford, convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle in Oxford on September 8. Fined £400, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending.

Munna Haque, 25, of Harolde Close, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on January 16. Given a 12-month conditional dishcarge and told to pay £40 costs.

Ricky May, 23, of Rivermead Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving in The Avenue, Oxford, on March 28. Had 78 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £300, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 17 months.

Nicolas Plested, 36, of Overton Drive, Thame, admitted shoplifting £22.78 of groceries from Co-op in Oxford on March 28. Given a nine-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.

Harry Johnstone, 77, of Banbury Road, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Rawlinson Road, Oxford, on February 20. Had 103 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80 milligrams. Fined £415, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for a year.

James Kinyanjui, 44, of Borough Avenue, Wallingford, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance in Main Street, East Challow, on March 29. Told to do 250 hours’ unpaid work and pay £40 costs. Banned from driving for 17 months.

Bozena Tomczak, 47, of Reynolds Way, Abingdon, admitted shoplifting a leather jacket, gloves and underwear valued at £222 from Marks and Spencer in Oxford on January 29. Given a six-month conditional discharge.

Gavin Walker, 28, of Hilltop, Long Crendon, admitted two counts of shoplifting intoxicants from BP in Thame on March 26 and March 27. Fined £330, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Told to pay £22 compensation.

Safin Ali, 40, of Fairlie Road, Oxford, admitted plying for hire when not licensed as a taxi. Fined £70, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

BANBURY Stuart Forysth, 49, of no fixed address, admitted assault by beating in Banbury on September 14. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 compensation and £100 costs.

Toby Webb, 33, of Guildford Court, Kidlington, admitted driving wtihout insurance in Camp Road, Upper Heyford, on August 30. Fined £110, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Given six penalty points.

Stephen Carter, 53, of Field Close, Kidlington, admitted driving without due care and attention on the A4260 Banbury Road at Thrupp on November 3. Fined £265, a £15 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs and £100 compensation. Given six penalty points.

Harley Smith-Whitehead, 32, of Edmunds Road, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) in Banbury on March 14. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.

Bartosz Paska, 29, of Calthorpe Street, Banbury, admitted criminally damaging an intercom in Banbury on April 12. Fined £130, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
