IT MAY be raining outside, but artistic umbrellas are bringing a spot of sunshine to an Oxfordshire village church.

The colourful creations were designed by children from Standlake Primary School as part of a year-long project about art around the world and are on display at St Giles’ Church in the village until Monday.

The umbrellas were painted by Year Six pupils, including 11-year-old Adam Blackwell. He said: “It is nice to let everybody see what we have done.”
