Woman taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after smash

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a head on crash on the A44.

South Central Ambulance Service sent an air ambulance and three road ambulances to incident near Yarnton at about 2.50pm.

Ambulance service spokesman James Keating-Wilkes said another patient had also been taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital but their injuries were unknown.

The road is currently blocked in both directions and traffic is being diverted along the A4260.
