DRIVERS in Oxfordshire were being warned to take extra care with high winds sweeping across the county.
The Met Office has issued a warning of gale-force south-westerly winds, with gusts of up to 70mph affecting Somerset and Wiltshire and drivers in some parts of Oxfordshire experienced high winds on their drive into work this morning.
Roger Jones, a spokesman for the Highways Agency, said: "Cyclists, motorcyclists, and drivers of high-sided vehicles need to take particular care.
"They need to take care in exposed locations and find a safe stopping place to pull over if there are very high gusts."
