Another good four-goal win for Prescot

12:15pm Thursday 20th December 2012

PRESCOT's Men's hockey team scored another four this week with an emphatic 4-1 win over bottom of the league Chester.

The return of key players from injury has helped the first team secure 12 points at the halfway stage of North West Division 2. They are only 8 points from a promotion place so a new year spurt should see a top four finish.

The mens second team had their match with Bolton abandoned due to a serious injury.

The ladies first team are heading into the Christmas break sitting five points clear at the top of the Greater Manchester League. The Ladies only joined this new league this season and have so far taken on allcomers with eight league wins on the bounce and three Cup wins so far this season. With additional players already agreeing to join Prescot in the New Year both the Ladies teams are looking set for promotion.

The Ladies seconds have also transferred to the Manchester League and are also unbeaten in the league with five wins from five plus a couple of games in hand.

Anyone wishing to join are welcome at training at Edmund Arrowsmith School on Tuesdays from 8pm - 9pm.
