School raid sparks plea

POLICE are appealing for information after a break-in at Brize Norton Primary School.

The thieves got in by smashing a first-floor window before stealing a DVD player, cheque book and unknown quantity of cash.

The burglary happened sometime between 6pm on Friday and 5.54am Saturday.

Sgt Mark Smith from the Carterton Neighbourhood Team, said: "The local area has been subject to numerous anti-social problems in recent weeks including heightened activity in the area of the school after dark.

"I would appeal for anyone with information relating to this burglary or the recent anti-social behaviour to contact the police on 0845 8 505 505.

"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
