Crash causes A40 delays

A CAR and a motorbike collided on the A40 today causing traffic to be delayed near the turn off to Witney.

The crash involving a blue Nissan 100 NX and a black Yamaha FZS 1000 happened at 7am on the Oxford-bound lane at the point where the dual carriageway reduces down to one lane.

The motorcyclist was left unconscious and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with minor injuries, the driver of the car was not hurt.

Police kept traffic flowing and the road was cleared at 9.30am.
