Ram-raiders attack village store

POLICE mounted a pursuit across two counties following a ram-raid in Eynsham today.

Police were called to Mill Street, Eynsham at 3.15am today after reports of a burglary in progress.

A white van had driven into a shop and raiders had stolen plasma television screens. A Subaru car was also believed to be involved.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Police officers arrived on scene and a pursuit took place into Gloucestershire police area. The offenders left the van and the property was seized.

"A 19-year old man was later caught on foot. He has been arrested on suspicion of burglary."
