POLICE have launched an investigation after a 20-year-old woman with a broken wrist appeared at Witney police station saying she could not remember the events leading up to the injury.
It is believed she was found distressed near Witney on Thursday evening. A woman in a car is believed to have stopped to help her, around 6pm, close to the Roman Villa near North Leigh.
The woman driver is believed to have called an ambulance for the woman. A jogger may also have stopped to assist.
The woman was taken by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she was treated for a broken wrist.
Detectives are investigating if a crime has occurred. They are appealing for the woman who stopped and the jogger to come forward. If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area they are asked to contact Bicester CID on0845 8 505 505.
