WORK is set to start this Monday to repair a worn-out section of the A40 at Witney.
Oxfordshire County Council will spend five days carrying out repairs to the surface of the Witney bypass dual carriageway.
A 40mph speed limit will be in place on sections of the road during the work.
David Robertson, Oxfordshire County Council's cabinet member for transport, said: "We need to resurface this road for the future benefit of all road users.
"Our plan is to get the job done without the necessity for road closures.
"However, we will need to put a temporary speed limit in place for the safety of the workforce and other road users.
"I look forward to the job being done, so that we can reap the benefits in the future."
