Elderly rider seriously injured in crash

3:20pm Monday 26th March 2007 in Witney

POLICE were called to Woodgreen Hill, Woodstock Road, Witney, today following a serious crash.

A Mercedes-Benz car and a motorcycle collided just after 10am.

Polie said the elderly man riding the motorcycle was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with very serious injuries.

The elderly man driving the car was left shocked and shaken.

The road was closed to allow collision investigators to assess the scene and for the vehicles to be recovered. The road was reopened at 1.45pm.
