Staff at Blenheim Palace hang baubles on a six-metre tall Christmas tree
TOWERING Christmas trees have been bedecked with hundreds of turquoise baubles at Blenheim Palace.
Staff at the country house in Woodstock spent three days decorating the two festive firs, stretching from ladders to hang ornaments on the six-metre tall specimens.
The pair were grown in the estate's grounds and now stand proudly in the Great Hall, boasting 300 baubles and 180 metres of lights.
Blenheim's house manager Kate Ballenger said the effect was 'truly spectacular'.
She added: "They give off a fantastic pine smell, which is really helping to get everyone in the festive mood."
From Friday next week the estate will sparkle for the Christmas at Blenheim event, which features an illuminated trail.
