A DRIVER is fighting for his life after a car left the A361 in north Oxfordshire and hit a tree.
Police closed the road between Swerford and South Newington after the crash at about noon today.
Just after 5pm today police said the road had been reopened.
Police said the crash happened after a blue Vauxhall Vectra driving from Chipping Norton left the carriageway and crashed into woodland on a bend.

A 77-year-old male passenger, believed to be the driver's father, was taken to the Horton Hospital, in Banbury, with head injuries which are not considered to be life threatening.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.
Police have closed the road between Chipping Norton and South Newington and are diverting traffic through Deddington.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to contact them on 08458 505505.
