PEOPLE in Chipping Norton and the surrounding villages are being invited to a workshop to identify how local community safety issues can be tackled.
A public community safety event will take place on Thursday, January 24, at Chipping Norton School, Burford Road from 7.30pm to 9pm. Representatives from Thames Valley Police, Chipping Norton Town Council and West Oxfordshire District Council are hosting the evening and 60 places are available for local residents.
Area commander Chief Inspector Dennis Evernden said: "The emphasis of the workshop is to identify the real issues within the community by inviting residents to tell us how they think these issues should be tackled by the police and other local agencies."
Chipping Norton mayor, Gina Burrows said: "I really do urge residents to come along and participate in the workshop.
"This is your chance to tell us what really matters to you in your local community and how we can work together to overcome these issues with satisfactory solutions."
Places must be booked in advance by telephoning 01993 861640.
