THREE people who have given stalwart service to Witney Air Cadets have received top awards for their long-term support.
The national commandant of the Air Training Corps, Air Commodore Gordon Moulds, second from right, presented his own commendation to Susan Haines, right, for her six years as chairman of the Witney squadron, including her leadership in helping to raise funds for local charities through the annual Witney Carnival.
Adult Warrant officer Mo Merchant, second from left, was awarded the clasp to the Cadet Forces Medal for two decades of service.
And Bill Goodwin, left, has received the Commandant's Commendation for serving on the management committee as treasurer for the last 20 years, as well as supervising the cadets in aircraft model-making and supervising projects.
Mark Trevena, squadron leader with the Thames Valley Wing, said: "The trio have been an inspiration, not only for their work in the local area, but for their wider support of the local community."
