The River Thames put on a Flood Warning around Oxford

THE River Thames has been put on a Flood Warning around Oxford.

The Environment Agency said homes and properties at Eynsham Lock and between Eynsham to Sandford Lock, including Wytham, and in Lower Wolvercote, New Botley, Osney, Grandpont, New Hinksey, South Hinksey and Kennington are expected to flood.

Residents in those areas should move valuables upstairs and, relocate cars to safe areas, turn off gas and electricity supplies if it safe to do so, and be prepared to evacuate.
