A YOUNG man was airlifted to hospital after he was found with serious injuries to his throat in Chipping Norton.
The 23-year-old was found at about 5pm yesterday in Back Alley off Hailey Road.
Police said he had lacerations to his throat. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by air ambulance where has been treated and is in a stable condition.
Det Sgt Dick White, of West Oxfordshire CID, said: "We are investigating what the cause of this man's injuries was and whether there was anybody else involved.
"We have yet to interview him and are waiting until he is fit enough to talk to us, so in the meantime we would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident or the events leading up to it. Were you in the Hailey Road area between 4.30pm and 5pm? If so, please get in touch."
Det Sgt White can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
