Teenager charged with theatre arson

A TEENAGER has been charged with two arson attacks in Chipping Norton.

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces two arson charges in connection with fires in the early hours of Monday, October 22.

Rubbish left for collection in the doorway of The Theatre, Chipping Norton, was set alight spreading to the building, burning the door frame, paintwork and windows.

Later, some wheelie bins were set on fire in nearby Albion Street.

The youth is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates' court on Wednesday, February 20.
