Council stalwart dies at 83

JOHN Hannis, who repesented Chipping Norton over decades on both Oxfordshire County and West Oxfordshire District councils, has died aged 83.

A former bus driver, he was also a mayor of the town in which he lived all his life, as well as a stalwart of the local branch of the Royal British Legion.
