Charlbury's Beer Festival ran out of 40 real ales, but kept going with entertainment and bottled back-up.
The event, held for the first time at the town's cricket ground on Saturday, was a great success, said chairman Dave Sangwine.
About 1,000 people, including Peter Orton, pictured, came to the 11-hour event where, apart from the beer, there were local bands playing in a marquee, Morris dancers and children's games.
They were also able to watch the town cricket club's first team play in an adjoining field and win a thrilling last-over victory over league leaders Tetsworth.
The event raised money for local charities and good causes, including the cricket club, which is raising funds for a new £250,000 pavilion.
