Police this afternoon appealed for witnesses to a crash in which a young woman died.
The young woman who died in the smash near Burford has been named as 19-year-old Laura Bradley, from Carterton.
Oxford coroner's office released the identity today following the accident which happened at about 11am on Friday, near the Merrymouth Inn, on the A424 between Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold.
She was driving a black Ford Ka which was in collision with an Iveco van coming in the opposite direction and was pronounced dead at the scene. The van driver was unhurt.
The road was closed for more than six hours.
Ms Bradley lived at Ash Close, part of the new Shilton Park development in Carterton.
Anyone who saw the vehicles before the collision or witnessed the collision itself are asked to contact Sgt Sarah Flavin at the Roads Policing Department via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
