A man left fighting for his life after getting trapped under a tractor is undergoing surgery tonight at an Oxford hospital.
The man in his 60s was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Headington, after the tractor he was driving rolled down a bank at the Great Tew Estate near Chipping Norton at about 11am.
A police spokesman said the man, who has not been named, suffered bad cuts to the head and hands and his injuries were life threatening.
The surgery this evening was expected to take up to six hours.
