A woman killed in a crash in west Oxfordshire was named today.

Margaret Slatter, 74, of Daylesford Road, Kingham, near Chipping Norton, was killed when her Chrysler Neon and a Land Rover towing a horse trailer collided on Saturday, August 23.

The crash happened at the junction between the A361 Chipping Norton Road and the B4437 Charlbury Road, at Shipton Down, between Shipton-under-Wychwood and Burford.

A post-mortem examination into the cause of death has taken place and an inquest is due to be opened and adjourned tomorrow.

A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail pending further inquiries until October 15.
