A woman killed in a car crash was described this morning as a "devoted mother".
Margaret Slatter, 74, of Kingham, died after a collision on the A361 near Chipping Norton last month.
Her daughter Diane, 45, remains in hospital fighting for her life with serious injuries suffered in the collision.
Mrs Slatter's family this morning released the following statement.
They said: "Margaret was tragically killed on Saturday, August 23. Her precious daughter Diane was very seriously injured in the crash.
"Margaret was a caring wife to Robert, devoted mother to Susan, Julie and Diane; she was a warm and kind mother-in-law to Peter and Craig and a much loved Grandmother to Luci, Henry and Jamie.
"She was such a special lady. Although we all miss her so much, our concern and thoughts are now also for Diane."
An inquest into the death is expected to be opened and adjourned later today.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed until October 15.
