THE Witney Gazette photographer Yuri Anderegg has been nominated for a national award.
Last year, Mr Anderegg, 34, won the title of Guinness Black and White Photographer of the Year in the Picture Editors' Awards.
On top of a £1,000 prize, he was presented with a special crystal bottle, filled with Guinness, by Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown, at a ceremony at the Guildhall, London.
His entry was an atmospheric shot of a horse in a field. This year, a selection of black-and-white shots of artists and celebrities has won him a nomination in the Portrait Photographer of the Year category.
He said: "I'm delighted that I have been nominated again. I am looking forward to finding out who has won on April 23."
Mr Anderegg also won an award as a photographer in his native Russia in 1990.
