Pay by fingerprint scan at Co-op

PAY by Touch the high-tech system that allows shoppers to purchase goods using only their fingerprint went live in Carterton and Summertown, Oxford, last Wednesday.

Earlier this month, the branch of the Co-op in Headington, Oxford, was the first place in the UK to offer the option of paying by fingerprint scan.

The shoppers no longer need cash, cards, or cheques. The scheme is now also available in Co-op stores in Black Bourton Road, Carterton, and Banbury Road, Summertown.
