BOUTIQUES are getting a high-profile showcase at a charity fashion show in Oxford.
The Witney fundraising team of the Harwell-based charity Against Breast Cancer has branched out into the city, and, with the help of Eynsham company Bottle PR, are holding the event at one of the city's most trendy venues, The Living Room bar and restaurant at Oxford Castle.
"The Living Room very kindly offered to host the event, and we decided that, as well as raising money for ABC's vital breast cancer research, we also wanted to provide a showcase for local boutiques," said ABC Witney chairman, Jeanne Chattoe.
The boutiques taking part include Azzurra, Woodstock, Belinda of Burford, Renaissance, Witney, and Millie Benjamin Bridal, Charlbury.
The event, on Tuesday, May 9, at 7.30pm, will be compered by Fox FM DJ Adam Ball and about 300 guests are expected. Tickets are £25 each, to include a cocktail on arrival, a glass of Champagne, nibbles and goodie bags. There are also standing bar tickets at £10, which includes a cocktail.
Rob Smith, manager of The Living Room, said: "It should be a really fun night out."
Last year, the Witney Fundraising Team of ABC raised more than £15,000.
