TICKETS go on sale for the third Cornbury Festival, which this year features legendary Led Zeppelin frontman, Robert Plant.
The West Oxfordshire festival, which last year drew a crowd of more than 7,000 to see the likes of Joe Cocker and Elvis Costello, is being held on the weekend of July 8 and 9, in the grounds of Cornbury Park, just outside Charlbury.
Ticket prices are the same as last year, at £40 for a single day, or £70 for the weekend. Camping will again be available.
Cornbury is Robert Plant's only scheduled UK date this year. Plant was nominated for two Grammy awards this year, for his album Mighty Rearranger, and his band, Strange Sensation, features former Cast guitarist Skin Tyson.
New to the festival this year will be a strong folk and local band line-up on the second stage, headlined by the Barnsley Nightingale herself, Kate Rusby, the pre-eminent female folk artist in the country.
More big-name acts will be announced in the coming weeks. Information will be available online, at www.cornburyfestival.com
