FOUR men arrested over a series of robberies across Northamptonshire could be questioned about two shop hold-ups in West Oxfordshire.
The men were in custody at police stations in Northamptonshire on April 4, following a police operation conducted jointly with Thames Valley Police, West Midlands Police, and Warwickshire Police.
The men, believed to be aged 25, 28, 31, and 30, were arrested over robberies at commercial premises, including Tesco Express stores across Northamptonshire over the past several months.
They could be questioned in connection with the raid on the Tesco Express store in Eynsham in February, and the robbery at the Co-op in Chipping Norton in January, in which four men, armed with a sawn-off shotgun, seized 12 staff and kept them tied up for an hour.
Thames Valley Police spokesman, Victoria Bartlett, said detectives were keeping an 'open mind' about the suspects' links with the Thames Valley robberies.
