FOXBURY Farm shop has won a national accreditation and been honoured for its ready-made meals.
The shop, in Burford Road, Brize Norton, has been recognised by National Farmers Retail and Markets Association (FARMA). Out of 3,000 farm shops in the UK, only 60 are accredited by FARMA.
The shop is run by Colin Dawes and his wife, Di.
She said: "It's a local place to come for local foods, and we plan to keep it that way, reducing food miles as much as possible. We are really proud of our staff in the butchery and the farm shop for their fantastic customer service."
Four ready meals produced by the shop have been given gold awards by the British Pig Executive (BPE). Their lamb and mushroom curry, beef stew and dumplings, pork, apple and cider casserole, and traditional pork pie were given the awards. The meals are made from fresh ingredients, and contain no additives or preservatives.
