Top book printer opens new factory

TORY leader and Witney MP David Cameron marked a new chapter in the life of leading book printer Alden Press when he opened its new factory in De Havilland Way, Witney.

He was welcomed by managing director, William Alden, both pictured, the sixth generation of the Alden family to run the firm, which was started in Oxford in 1832.

The new 47,000 sq ft factory cost about £5.5m to build, and replaces premises in Osney Mead, Oxford.
