THIEVES burgled an elderly couple's house after knocking on the door and claiming they were checking for water leaks in the area on Tuesday, October 3.
The two men were let into the house, in Cornish Road, Chipping Norton.
One showed the couple a pool of water in the kitchen, before asking them to run taps and flush the toilet.
While this was going on, the second man searched the house, and took belongings from the bedroom. The pair then left and said they would visit neighbours to make further checks.
The first man who spoke to the owners is white, 5ft 8in, aged 30-35, clean shaven, and was wearing jeans and a dark jumper. The second man was 6ft, aged 30-35, and wearing jeans with a dark top.
