9:00am Wednesday 25th October 2006 in Witney By Jo Duckles
THE grand opening of Witney's The Meller Gallery takes place on Thursday, October 26.
The gallery was opened by Henry Box School art teacher Aidan Meller, pictured, the founder of Christian art organisation Veritasse.
The gallery is unique in that half of the work displayed is secular, and half is work by professional Christian artists, including Oxford-based Tim Steward.
Mr Meller, who is now working at the school just one day per week, said: "We constantly get people coming in to have a look, because it is the art teacher's gallery. One girl in her 20s came in who I taught when she was in year seven."
The grand opening of the gallery, in Church Green, takes place from 7.30pm to 9pm.
