9:00am Wednesday 1st November 2006 in Witney By Helen Peacocke
CINEMA-goers, who attended Witney in Pink, a charity event staged to raise funds for the Harwell-based charity Against Breast Cancer, will be able to see themselves on screen this week in Witney.
Prior to the main film, The Queen, which opens today at Screen at the Square, John Richards. the proprietor, will be showing the ten-minute newsreel he took, which captures the spirit of this remarkable fundraising event.
The newsreel includes an interview with Witney MP David Cameron, who formally opened the day.
It also shows the generous way the people of Witney and the many businesses and dance teams, who took part, added their own touch of colour to the day by decorating the town in pink.
The newsreel will be shown from Friday this week to Monday, November 13.
There will be a collection for the Against Breast Cancer Charity after each show, as John's aim is to add as much as possible to the £6,000 collected on the day.
