RUGBY: Witney are beaten by Wycombe

Witney paid for a poor start as they lost 14-13 at struggling High Wycombe in South West 1 East on Saturday.

Wycombe bagged a penalty try, converted by Dan Sumnal, who did the same to an effort from Nick Robinson.

After the break, wing Lewis Collins scored for Witney, but fly half Henry Lamb’s conversion was ruled out.

Henry Lamb added a penalty, but missed the crucial conversion after a late try from his brother James Lamb.

Chipping Norton’s BB & O Premier Division trip to Swindon College Old Boys was off due to a waterlogged pitch.
