HOCKEY: Hardy's in form with hat-trick

Skipper Tim Hardy notched a treble for Witney men as they battled to a 3-0 victory at Men’s South League Regional 2 basement boys South Bucks away from home on Saturday.

The result saw Witney move up to second in the table, leaving them a point behind Maidenhead whom they play next weekend.

Witney 2nd continued their revival in MBB&O Division 4 with a 7-0 win at home to bottom side South Bucks 2nd.

Hugh Collins (2), Rob Dyer, Tom Yallop, Nick Vigar and Mike Godwin plus an own goal made up their tally.

Witney 3rd eased to a 3-1 win at defending Division 6 champions Wycombe 5th. Patrick Button scored twice, both from two yards out, before Ryan Fitz-John blasted home a short corner.

Witney 4th went down to a 2-0 defeat against Wycombe 6th in Division 8.
