WOMEN'S FOOTBALL: Tower Hill are beaten

Tower Hill Ladies had a day to forget as they went down to a 4-0 defeat against Gosport Ladies in Southern Women’s Region Division 1.
They had hoped to build on the previous week’s display against Oxford United Ladies Res, when goals from Samantha Bevan-Talbot, Lisa Freeman, Harriet Coe and Sarah Snowdon (penalty) completed a 3-2 win, but Gosport were too strong.
The hosts charged into a 3-0 lead at half-time, before completing the rout after the break.
It saw Gosport complete the double, following their 7-1 against Tower Hill in October.
