HOCKEY: Hardy is the hero for Witney

Tim Hardy took his goals tally for the season to 32 with a four-timer as MBB&O Regional Division 2 leaders Witney thrashed Ramgharia 10-2 away from home.
Gareth Pritchard, with a brace, Jacob Deacon, Liam Frost, Justin Peel and Ben Wells sealed the rout as they stayed four points clear.
Mike Godwin scored four times as Witney 2nd continued their late surge for promotion with a 5-0 mauling of Sonning 4th in Division 4. Tom Yallop completed their nap hand.
Two late goals from Nick Dunnington salvaged a 2-2 draw for Witney 3rd against Ashford as they slipped to second in Division 6.
Witney 4th lost 12-1 to Milton Keynes in Division 8.
Witney ladies boosted their South England Division 3A promotion bid with a 2-1 home win against PHC Chiswick, with goals from Denise Shaw and Izzie Hayes.
