Witney Ladies moved two points clear at the top of South Clubs League Division 3A, with a convincing 4-1 win at Wallingford.

After early pressure from the hosts, Witney went ahead when captain Katie Gatt fired in following a short corner.

Just before half time, Witney doubled their advantage when Ellie Norton guided the ball into the net in a goalmouth scramble.

Wallingford clawed a goal back after the break, but Witney stepped up a gear.

Ellie Kearney finished an outstanding passing move with an outstanding reverse stick shot to make it 3-1.

Hayley Dobson rounded off an impressive team display with an unstoppable strike.

Witney men boosted their Middx, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Regional 1 survival hopes with a 3-0 home win against Aylesbury 3rd.

Goals from Jacob Deacon, Ryan Fitz-John and Andrew Willemite won it for Witney who are only bottom on goal difference from Staines 2nd.

A strike from Sam Hook was in vain as Witney 2nd lost 3-1 at Wycombe 3rd in Division 4.

Witney 3rd dropped to the foot of Division 5 with a 3-1 home defeat to South Bucks 2nd.

Andy Birnie scored for the hosts.

Witney 4th slipped to the foot of Division 9 following a 5-2 mauling at Bracknell Terriers 5-2.

Tom Gaffney and Andrew Taylor were on target for the visitors.
