Witney gained a hard-fought point from a 3-3 home draw against Banbury to go second in the South Ladies League 3A.
However, the hosts were left to rue losing a 3-1 half-time lead.
Banbury took the lead through Vicki Coombs, only for Hayley Dobson to level after spinning neatly and lobbing the keeper.
Charlotte Manning burst down the wing before cutting the ball back for Izzy Hayes to fire Witney ahead.
A stunning strike by Katie Gatt from outside the 23 forced a defensive error and the mis-trapped ball crossed the line for 3-1.
After the break, Tash Nunneley and Coombs brought Banbury level.
Banbury kept up the pressure, but Witney held on for a draw.
Witney Men crashed 7-1 at Old Merchant Taylors in Middx, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Regional 1, Liam Frost netting for the hosts.
Goals from Joe Taylor and Andy Birnie were in vain as Witney 3rd lost 3-2 at Milton Keynes 4th in Division 5.
Jonnie Austin scored a double as Witney 4th eased to a 3-0 home win against Oxford 8th in Division 9.
Ben Austin was Witney’s other scorer.
